Blacki robots have been used by the military over the years in a range of applications, including in support of our ground troops.
We are discussing a new, exciting application with the Army to use our Landshark robot and Fullscope Mobile Arm to pick up and move artillery shells to gun sites. Presently the back-breaking work is done by troops. The saving in manpower would be significant, while enabling freed-up forces to be deployed to where they are needed most. The Army has designated the application among its top five in order of importance.
Our Fullscope Mobile Arm was originally designed to handle shells to counter IEDs, so the transition to a military reloading application should be relatively easy.
The adaptability of the Fullscope Mobile Arm is one of its greatest attractions. The artillery application is just one of many projects we are discussing with the Army, other Defense Department organizations and government contractors, not only for programs here in the States but abroad as well.
